How trusts and foundations can support us

Gifts from charitable trusts and foundations play a vital role in funding the specialist services we provide for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

Why your support is needed so much

Every year, we need to raise £5.6 million to run our hospice and provide our essential outreach services in communities in Wales.

This is something we’re only able to do because of the kindness and generosity of our wonderful supporters, including trusts and foundations.

By becoming one of our supporters, you’ll help us provide specialist care and support to families who often have no one else to turn to.

You’ll also be supported by our dedicated, who will work closely with you to create a mutually rewarding partnership.

Today, tomorrow and long into the future, you can help make a short life a full life.

How you can improve young lives

No matter the size of your organisation or the amount you’re able to give, your support is hugely valuable to us. Right now, we need your support more than ever to ensure we can be a lifeline to all the children and families in Wales who urgently need our expert care and support.

Core funding from your trust or foundation could help us run our most important services, including our:

  • Warm and welcoming hospice in Sully, in the Vale of Glamorgan
  • Outreach services that provide vital support in communities
  • Specialist therapies that help children have fun, express themselves and relax
  • 24-hour telephone support service, which provides vital support and guidance

Unrestricted funding from your trust or foundation gives us the flexibility to direct funding to where it’s needed most and adapt our work quickly and responsively. In the past, unrestricted funding has helped us:

  • Launch one-off projects
  • Buy new equipment and technology
  • Develop our services and care professionals

A mutually rewarding partnership

We believe it’s incredibly important that trusts and foundations that support us feel totally connected to Tŷ Hafan and the children and families we care for.

If you become one of our supporters, you can expect the following:

A tailored approach to our partnership, because we understand that your trust or foundation may have a specific interest or objective.

Regular reports about the amazing difference your support is making to the lives of children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

Events where you can meet members of our senior team and care professionals who make such an importance difference to the lives of the children we support.

Personalised visits to our hospice. This gives you the chance to see first-hand our facilities and services and the impact your kindness and generosity is having on young lives.

Support that helps you tell others about the fantastic work we’re doing together, for example, key messaging or quotes for press releases.
